Renumber Pages

Added 14 Sep 2005 (last updated 06 Mar 2006)

For use with Sibelius 4 and Sibelius 4.1

This plug-in allows you to create customized page numbers and running header lines in your score. Features include:

  • Divide your document into sections whose pages are numbered independently, e.g. front matter numbered with lowercase Roman page numbers (i, ii, iii, ...) and main matter numbered with Arabic page numbers (1, 2, 3, ...)
  • Define a running header line which displays the title of the song or movement at the top of the page (automatically extracted from title text objects)
  • Automatic creation of a table of contents (experimental)
  • Support for title pages which are counted but do not show a page number or header line
  • Also support for more complex page number schemes, e.g. chapter-wise (I-1, I-2, I-3, ..., II-1, II-2, II-3, ..., III-1, III-2, III-3, ...)

The .zip file contains the plug-in and a score which contains further explanations and is properly setup to demonstrate the usage. It is recommended to read the instructions in the example score and run the plug-in there first, before trying on your own score.

Updated to version 1.1 (6 March 2006), adding support for "page total" template to generate "XX of YY" numbering.
