I'm trying to join two scores using the 'Append Score' feature. It seems to have worked fine: I now have the two scores (each is only 5 bars long) in one file. As I wanted them to appear on the same page, I removed the Page Break and replaced it with a System Break (again this was successful), and added a Final barline at the end of the first score.
My problem is how to remove the short bit of staff at the very end of the first score, after the Final barline. I can hide the cautionary key signature and the cautionary instrument name, but I can't shift the overhanging bit of staff. If I try moving the final barline, it just re-formats the spacing of all the objects before it, leaving the empty staff after it untouched. If I click just to the right of the end of the staff I get the tiny square handles, but all they do is stretch or shrink the entire staff.
Please can anyone suggest something to solve this?

Hi there

Select the last bar of the first system and use Reset Note Spacing.

Thanks, Jeremy - I wasn't expecting a reply so quickly! Great forum.
In fact, I solved it myself eventually, by removing the Final barline and doing all the hiding/deleting of everything else first. I also had to remove the time signature from the beginning of the 2nd score and replace it without the cautionary. Once I'd done all that, I was able to put the Final barline back in its rightful place.
Seems odd that Sibelius's default settings for 'Append Score' don't do this automatically...
