Hello I have a problem using the Sibelius Sounds, It doesn´t work, They seem to ahve signal in
Can I upgrade Sibelius to 8 or what can I do? It is quite urgent
Please attach screen-shots of the following Sibelius dialogue windows:
1. Playback Devices;
2. Audio Engine Options;
3. the Sibelius Mixer.
Has playback ever worked, or did this problem start recently? What has happened on this Mac since the time when Sibelius playback last worked correctly? Have any applications been installed, or any updates to anything applied?
Has the Sibelius 7 Sounds sample library been installed on this Mac?

It started to have problems maybe last operative system update... It did worked correctly and I did installed Sibelius sounds with last update ,It was working Then one day didnt work, maybe with another systme update
i cannot tell now but. Only midi sounds I guess I cannot hear sibelius sounds at the click It look that sound comes in image in maybe, but no out?
Shoud I update sibelius and to what number? 8,6? with Mac sierra works? I am not very good at techincals matter, I am a musicien mostly acoustic...I use it to write and listen. Thank you!

Right, so the start-up music is audible, but the playback of scores is not audible?
Does this problem affect every score that you try, or just the score that you are working on?
Also, please do the following in the Finder:
- pull down the "Go" menu and select "Go to Folder";
- in the box, enter precisely:
/Library
- and click "Go";
- in the System Library folder, open sub-folder "Application Support";
- in "Application Support", open sub-folder "Avid";
- in "Avid", open sub-folder "Sibelius Sounds";
- in "Sibelius Sounds", select sub-folder "Sibelius 7 Sounds" with a single click, and type Command-I to open the Info panel;
- from the Info panel, copy the information after the heading General->Size into your reply (or attach a screen-shot of the Info Panel).

The cause of your problem has been identified: the "Sibelius 7 Sounds" sample library has not been completely installed.
Your screen-shot shows the size of this folder as being 27.24 GB for 974 items.
If correctly installed, it should show 36.85 GB for 1166 items (approx.)
So, please re-install the "Sibelius 7 Sounds" sample library. If you are installing from DVD-ROM disks, there is a Sounds installation on all FOUR disks.
