Sibelius 2.11 for Mac and Windows

Improvements and changes

Sibelius 2.11 is a free update for existing Sibelius 2.0 (and 2.1) users. The most significant changes are:

  • An improved Mixer window, which now allows you to change the settings for up to eight staves at once, and which has a number of other improvements
  • General speed increases; Sibelius 2.1 is typically noticeably faster than Sibelius 2.0, and in particular lyric input is now considerably faster
  • A new option allows object creation to behave like Sibelius v1.x (i.e. all objects must be placed with the mouse rather than automatically being created near to the current selection)
  • A new NIFF file converter, developed in conjunction with user Norman Reid (Windows only)
  • New plug-ins, including Remove All Highlights
  • Problems with printing on Classic Mac OS have been solved.
  • Much reduced system resource usage on Windows 95, 98 and Me
  • Problems with squashed multirests during part extraction have been solved

Full release notes for this version of Sibelius are included in the download for Mac users. Windows users can download the release notes here.
