Placement of 8va--- over notes does not produce correct TAB fretting.

8va does not change the notation TAB (numbers), only the sound. 8va on tab does change the playback. Just as in a notation staff, the actual notation does not change.

You can transpose the tab up an octave if you want the notation to change.

Yes, an awkward solution as used in the attachment.
Thus 8va etc. are presently incompatible with Tablature.
