We have recently deployed some nice changes as well as an overall clean-up to your My Avid account @ account.avid.com.
My Avid Updates and Clean-up
What is the clean up?
Problem: My Avid became fragmented through incremental updates overtime, causing inconsistent styling and poor usability that did not align with Avid’s design, and we have been told it wasn’t user intuitive and busy.
Solution: Update, clean-up and standardize My Avid for ease of use and consistency.
Your Benefits:
> The site now aligns with Avid's brand for consistency
> Improved usability through standardized, accessible styles
> Reduces maintenance overhead which enhances performance and page load times
> Delivers professional, modern user experience with a scalable foundation for future features
We expect these changes and clean- up to allow you to use the site much easier and navigate where you need to go much faster. We all are looking forward to additional changes in the future.
Avid Link Messages, Fund Talent, Pro Tools Projects and Link Lounges
In mid 2025, various features were deprecated from the Avid Link application in order to improve performance. The Messages, Find Talent, and Pro Tools Projects tools are now only available in the Pro Tools application itself. Avid Link Lounges are no longer available, and users should refer to the communities below for product discussion:
> Media Composer - Avid Pro Video Community (sign in required to post) and Avid Media Composer Users Facebook Page
> Pro Tools - Avid Pro Audio Community (sign in required to post) and Avid Pro Tools User Facebook Page
The Avid Community team and user Ambassadors and Moderators are often online to assist with questions/discussions.
Q: What happens if I need to go back to a previous version of Avid Link or even Avid Application Manager?
A: Older versions of Avid Link and Avid Application Manager will no longer be able to connect to our servers. They will have very limited functionality, so they are not recommended for use. Avid will be removing all older Avid Link versions on the Download Center except Avid Link 2024.10 ( in case a customer needs the Collab features). This should happen within the next day or so.
Q: How do I know if I have the latest version of Avid Link?
A: Launch Avid Link and select the Products Tab. If you see:
> Current, then you have the latest version of Avid Link.
> Update, then you do not have the latest version of Avid Link and should download and install it.
> Install, then the Avid Link application is already downloaded and ready for you to install.
