Repairing Misplaced Split System
Posted by Musix4me - 11 Jan 07:22PM
I placed a split system in the wrong place and did not realize it until later.

How do I repair that so there is no split system at that point?

[It's sad that my first expectation is to hear a "You shouldn't have done it this way..." response. It makes me think Justin's reason for dismissal could have been sticking up for us, "Come on, guys. We need to fix these things."]

- open the Inspector;
- passage-select (blue box) the bar after the split;
- in the Inspector, set "Gap before bar" to zero.

Of course, it was VERY silly for you to have split it at the wrong place... :-)

Ah, yes. In this case, it was! I should know not to work from the dynamic part.

I do wish it would work backward sometimes. I like working from the aesthetics of the dynamic part. The "Focus on Staves" and Page view combination does not do it for me.
