Computer Specs
Posted by Alan - 11 Jan 12:26PM
Hello, I am looking to replace my Old computer with something with more RAM and a faster processor and more storage space. From what I have gather so far, from this forum and many other sources, is that ideally I need fewer and faster cores, 32 Gb RAM (or more), and at least 1Tb storage. I live in France and shall be using an AZERTY keyboard. I've been looking at this atm, - Processor Intel® Core™ i3-14100 14e génération (4Ecores 4Pcoress 3.5 Ghz to 4.7Ghz. 32 Gb DDR5 4000 Mhz. M.2 SSD G4: Disc SSD 2 Tb, M.2 2280, PCIe Gen4 Performance TLC Opal (x1). All very techie for me. I just womder if anybody out there can help. My main and real concern is Sibelius playback of orchestral scores. Thanks

That should be plenty to run Sibelius (using NotePerformer for score playback quality).

Thanks.
I am absolutely no techie, and have been given the impression that a processor with lots of cores could ne a problem with playback of large orchestral scores, which is why I've quoted one in my post. I just don't know if that is correct, perhaps you could advise me om this?
