In a chamber piece I am working on, I would like to decrease the size of the title on the first page in both score and parts. However, when using the inspector, I find that if I decrease the size of the title on the first page of the score, it actually increases the size of the title in the parts.
Conversely, if I try reducing the title size on page one of the part first, then the title size on the first page of the score is decreased far more than in the part. Is there a way I can get them to match each other when making this kind of text size change?

Do not use the Inspector to change font sizes, as that will change the size in both Full Score and all Dynamic Parts.
The only place where you can specify different font sizes between Full Score and Dynamic Parts is "Edit Text Style" for the Style in question.
Note that, after changing setting in "Edit Text Style", you might then need to select all text objects in the score controlled by that Style, and do "Reset Design", especially if you have previously been trying to change things with the Inspector.

The text in the rit. and accel. Lines uses Tempo Text by default, so follows the settings for 'Tempo' in Edit Text Styles.
However, you can edit a Line, or create a modified copy of one. One of the options is 'Text style'. You could make a copy of the 'Tempo' text style, perhaps called 'Tempo (larger)', make appropriate modifications and then select THAT Style for the Line.
Generally though, I'd think the size chosen for Tempo text such as 'Allegro' should also be appropriate for 'rit.' in a Line?
For readability, certain texts like title, composer, instrument name, tempo need to be the same size in score and parts. Do this in edit text style. Most text looks good at around 14pt. Title maybe 18pt. Headers & footers maybe just 12 or 10pt. Edit the absolute values for score & parts and check 'Keep Absolute'.
Thank you, Laurence & Adrian, for your responses regarding my inquiry on ‘Edit Text Styles.’ Your comments have made things much clearer for me on how to use this feature with greater understanding.
