Hi friends. I'm kind of tearing my hair out over this one. I'm creating a chamber music score that has numerous pages with only text on them interspersed throughout. I created these with so-called "special page breaks" then pasted text onto them. Problem is whenever I try to reconfigure formatting on the music pages which follow the text pages, the text pages disappear completely. The reformatting is necessary for page turns. Here's the score, attached. One example: I need to add the top system of page 41 to page 40. But when I highlight all four systems and click "Make Into Page," page 39 disappears. I've tried many possible work arounds with no luck. I appreciate any suggestions!
'Make Into Page' could be restated as 'Remove the Page Break between the pages'. And, unfortunately for you, that it literally what it does, including the Special Page Breask that defines your blank pages.
I suggest you finalise the music formatting before re-making the blank pages. Or you could Cut/Paste the system to its new position without disturbing the page breaks.
Turn on your layout marks and you will see that page already used Make into Page at some point. So instead of the nuclear option, just unlock those systems and and reset space above and below the staves.
