Irritating layout mark

What does this mark mean (see attached & highlighted)? I have auto breaks switched off both in Layout and in Part Appearance. How can I delete or hide it. I find it most irritating.

Also request (if possible). When I select a position across staves to enter an expression mark, it doesn't currently include instruments (eg. drums) which have bar repeats.

That appears to be a 'Suppressed auto page break'. Something in your Auto Breaks settings has generated a page break, but you've deleted it.

Sibelius seems to treat bar repeats as a special type of whole bar rest. So it places the dynamic on the first note AFTER the bar repeats, if the selected passage extends that far. Might be a tricky behaviour to change, but it's always worth asking!

Yes, Laurence, but what causes it to appear when auto breaks are switched off?

PS. Just copied chord symbols from guitar to piano and ended up with 658 empty text strings which needed to be deleted because, being invisible, they're always in the way of "empty space" editing. Forgive me, I'm having a Victor Meldrew moment today. "I don't belieeeeeve it".

There's a downloadable plugin 'Delete empty text strings'.

But as you know the count (658) so accurately, I guess you used it!

Yes, this is one of Bob Z's most useful plugins for me.

I get the empty text strings sometimes, possibly when copying chord symbols. I have also found the plugin to be useful. I wish this would be fixed, though...

IMHO there should never be empty text strings in a score.

I don't know if this happens with the new chord symbols (I only use legacy). I first thought that the empty text strings were a product of the space bar when advancing the caret to the next chord change, but that's not the case because they are not present in the source chords. When copy-pasting, they only appear on the destination instrument staff on the beats between each chord change. Also, they can only be seen when viewing handles or filtering chord symbols.

Looked into this and it's a silly little bug. Logging it to fix.
