THis is very strange. Everything works except when I write a Low F for the Altos, I do not hear the sound. Its in range because All other notes, above and below, are working (and its displayed in blue). seems so strange to me. Is it deactivated somewhere?
Play is set for every pass OK. All notes on the alto 2 staff are playing for me on Note Performer and on General Midi. Also I note that professional range is set as low as F3 which is a whole octave below your F4, so that's not the problem either.
The first thing to try is to shut down the operating system, and then restart it, and try Sibelius again.
If that doesn't fix it, then it is possible that the installation of the "Sibelius 7 Sounds" sample library is incomplete.
Is this on macOS or on Windows?

Please do the following:
- in what follows, do not use "Search" or "Spotlight", but follow the path given;
- in macOS Finder, pull down the "Go" menu and select "Go to Folder";
- in the box, type precisely:
/Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius Sounds
and press the 'Enter' key.
- in that folder should be a sub-folder named either "Sibelius Sounds" (again) or "Sibelius 7 Sounds";
- select the icon of that sub-folder with a single click, and type Command-i to open the Info panel;
- take a screen-shot of that Info panel and attach that screen-shot here (in PNG format, not JPEG).

If you have the "Sibelius 7 Sounds" samples on an external drive, then the location I gave previously will not work. We need to see the Info panel of the folder that contains the sub-folders "Brass", "Guitar", etc.

ok yes the files are too big. Im currently reinstalling the sound to see if that works so the info is changing at the moment. WHen its complete, I'll try again to see if there is a fault and if so, I will take pic and post.
