Sorry for my unexperience as far as special soundbanks are concerned... Since I am mainly working the classical field, I am used to the (excellent) sounds offered by Note Performer.
I now need some additional, artificial (eerie, fantasy etc.) sounds to be installed. Is there a possibility to upload Kontakt or another bunch of this kind - and use it parralel to Note Performer? What do you recommend me?

I must admit I have not had great success mixing NotePerformer with other libraries. Setting it up is easy. But the result is problematic. NotePerformer shifts notes very slightly in time to "humanise" but can only apply this to its own sounds. Other libraries are unaffected by this algorithm. So things get slightly out of synch rhythmically.

It's more than "very slightly", Mark. It might work for a soloist alone but when it affects the whole chart, it sounds dreadful. In swing charts when there is no syncopation in the front lines, the rhythm section sounds as if they're all falling over themselves. I really wish NP's messing about with time could be switched off. Fortunately, audio exports are unaffected when meccanico is selected.

Which other library would you recommend instead?
I would just need some pitched electronic effects, space-, fantasy- eerie- and non-classical-instrumental traditional sounds. Suppose these would even be less interfering with the Note Performer library?
Of course I am resigned to meccanico playback anyway - with Note Performer...

Yes, agreed, depending on context. In jazz and highly rhythmic classical music it is more than "very slightly". In rubato music it'd be (feel) very slightly, but still downbeats may not line up if you use another library.

Adriano, I cannot recommend any other libraries. I use NP for everything. I just have a nice piano sound (see my signature) which is much better than NP's current piano, and I tried to combine it with NP, and had the problems I mentioned.

Adrian, this is really new information for me. NP requires the Meccanico setting in Sibelius. Are you saying its "humanise" rhythmic effects don't translate into audio export? To me, the export sounds the same as playback.
