Hello,
I have a problem with playback. I have searched through the forum but can't find anything to help so far. The help of this community would be much appreciated.
I am starting to use Sibelius 7.1.3 after a few years break. I have a new synth, a Roland Fantom 0, which I want to use for its sounds.
I have takan an old score, for 7 instruments, and set up the synth so that the instruments I want are on various MIDI channels. I have set up Playback Devices in way that seems to work, to a point. I am using a manual sound set to, hopefully, pass each instrument through to the right midi channel. When I press "test" on the Manual Sound Set page the correct sound is made for every channel.
In the mixer I have assigned each instrument to the correct channel. When I press the little speaker button the right sound is made. On the synth I can see that each sound is coming in on the correct midi channel.
However, when I press "play" everything is sent to MIDI channel 1. I can see this on the synth. All instruments therefore play with the Ch1 assigned sound.
It seems as if the Play function is overriding the channel assignment in the mixer. Is there some setting somewhere that is making this happen?
Please supply a screen-shot of the Sibelius dialogue window "Playback Devices".
Please supply screen-shots of every page of settings in your "Manual SoundSet".
Please supply a screen-shot of the Sibelius Mixer, taken after playback has been started and stopped again.
Please attach the Sibelius .sib score file that you are trying to play back.

Sibelius 2023.3/7.5.1/7.1.3/6.2/5.2.5, PhotoScore Ult 2020.1, Windows 10 64-bit 16GB. Desktop, and Microsoft Surface Book.
For information I have fixed this in a fashion by creating a new file, with the same instruments and copying everything over. This was a bit of a pain to do due to the complexity of the score but it has worked. I have other old scores that I would like to recast with the new sounds. Does anyone know of way of simply fixing the problem in the original score?
