Sibelius 7 Player does not produce sound. I have loaded Sibelius 7 sounds into Sibelius, and I can select the Sibelius 7 Player as a playback device, but it does not produce any sound. The General Midi player does work fine.

Please show us a png of the Audio Engine Options dialog. Preferably with the playback devices/interface drop down open so we can see what is selcted there.

It would be even better if you posted the score itself.

Using Windows File Explorer, navigate to the location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Sibelius Sounds\
Inside that "Sibelius Sounds" folder, there will be a sub-folder called either "Sibelius Sounds" (again), or "Sibelius 7 Sounds".
Right-click on the icon of that sub-folder, and select "Properties"
Then please attach a screen-shot of that "Properties" panel.

I could not see anything wrong with either screen-shot (although "Realtek ASIO" and Sibelius are mutually incompatible, and should not be used together.

What version number of Sibelius 8 is this?

Is this lack of playback confined to just one Sibelius score, or does it affect all Sibelius scores?

Is there a Bass Clarinet in the scores where playback does not work?

Has playback ever worked? If so, do you have any idea what changed to stop it working?

The version is 8.7.2, the most recent version, downloaded just a couple of weeks ago. The playback has never worked. It affects all scores, including ones without bass clarinet. It's also worth noting Sibelius shows the "loading sounds" bar at the bottom of the screen when I go to start playback for the first time.

I reinstalled everything again and now it seems to be working. There must have been something wrong with the directory for the sounds. Thanks for your help.
