Dear all,
i know it's been asked before but so far I couldn't quite understand the answers - whenever I export a file to pdf noteheads, clefs, rests and fermates are missing (has not been an issue in Sibelius 7.5 which is the version I used to work with) - now that I have Sibelius Ultimate these issues appear. Mac system is High Sierra Version 10.13.6. Any suggestions are gratefully welcome.

Please attach a Sibelius .sib score file which behaves this way when exported to PDF.

Are you using the built-in "Export to PDF" feature of Sibelius, or are you using the "Print to PDF" feature of the macOS?

Do you notice the missing details when viewing the PDF on the display, or only when printing to hard copy? If the latter, which application do you use to print the PDFs to the printer?

Thank you so much for getting back; I'm using the Export to PDF-function and the problem only occurs when doing so, not when printing directly from the Sib File; I use Acrobat Reader DC Version 2020.012.20048

This is probably a defect in Adobe Reader.

Try printing your PDFs using macOS Preview.

Thanks Robin; printing for myself is no problem I just can't share the pdf's when using Acrobat Reader - is there another PDF reader that works with Sibelius? Thanks so much in advance!

Sorry, I don't understand the statement "can't share the pdf's when using Acrobat Reader".

Can you elucidate?

I have not been able to reproduce any difficulty with printing a PDF exported by Sibelius from Tango.sib, using Adobe Reader.

Try pulling down the Apple menu, and selecting "Restart", then check whether the PDF prints correctly from Adobe Reader after the macOS restart.

I think Robin means use the "PDF" button in the Mac print menu (lower left) which has a "Save as PDF" option.

No, I don't.

I am talking about PDFs from the "Export to PDF" feature of Sibelius.

Thanks again Robin for getting back, what I meant was if I use Export to PDF,save the PDF and than send it by e-mail it comes out fawlty on the recipient's printer as well, not just on my side and therefor there's not much point in sending it to anyone as the results are unusable (missing noteheads etc). I now installed PDF Reader Pro and no problems ever since, so you were right, there does seem to be problem with Adobe Reader on my Mac and that's solved now.Thank you so much for helping me out, really appreciate your help.
