How do you specity "Position" for hairpins & dynamics

I can't find anything in "Engraving rules" or "Design & Position" to specify the vertical positition of hairpins and dynamics.

Any ideas?

Appearance/Design&Pos/Expression for dynamics. I don't know about lines.

PS. Filter Dynamics & Align in a row (shft/ctrl/r) seems to bring the hairpin closer to the expression text.

Thanks for the info on "Expression". That covers dynamics such as MP, P, F, etc, but, hairpins don't line up with those dynamics, and I can't find anything to govern vertical position of hairpins. "Engraving Rules>lines" has a section for hairpins but it only specifies their shape, not position.

Appearance -> Design and Position -> (dialog launcher button) -> Default Positions -> Lines -> Crescendo
and
Appearance -> Design and Position -> (dialog launcher button) -> Default Positions -> Lines -> Diminuendo

Afterwards, do "Reset Position" on objects changed.

I keep missing those three buttons too. I think this is the third time I've gone to the Forum with a problem that was solved by those three buttons.
