New Plugin: Make Page Count Even (category Engravers' Tools)

Make Page Count Even Original Version 01.10.00 added July 18, 2020.

This plugin changes the number of pages in a score and/or all its parts as needed to make the number of pages in the score a multiple of 2, 4, or 8. This can be useful if you are printing or exporting to PDF a group of files, so scores with odd numbers of pages will be made to fill both sides of the sheets of paper.

It does this by adding or removing specially marked blank pages at the end of a score. The default, and likely most common, use is to make a score have an even number of pages. To do this leave the default settings of Multiple = 2, and the plugin will determine the closest number of pages that is a multiple of 2, and add or remove the appropriate number of trailing blank pages to make the page count match the chosen multiple.

The deletable blank pages that the plugin adds have a small hidden piece of text added with the text ~Intentionally Blank, which allows such pages to be deleted by the plugin. Do not delete this text unless you are sure you want these pages to be non-deletable. They will not show up in printouts or PDF files.

While this plugin was really intended for Engravers, I actually got to use it the other day. I was trying to print a bunch or scores double sided, but wanted then to be separate scores. I ended up with page 1 of the second score on the back of the last page of score 1.

I ran Make Page Count Even under Run Plugin On Folder of Scores, and made all the scores even numbered, and then they printed just fine.

Does >6.x< indicate Version 6 and all following versions?

Presumably same place as all the rest of them, online accessed through Plugins at the bottom of the File menu in all versions of Sibelius since 7.

Yes, 6.x indicates that the plugin will run in Sib 6 (usually for me that means 6.2) or later. Laurence gives the correct location of the installer, as he is wont to do.
