At the following URL: https://my.avid.com/account/accountlinkstatus/esd I am told: “PLEASE LINK YOUR ACCOUNT It appears as though your "Avid Download Center" account has not yet been linked to your Avid Master account. You must link these accounts to continue your access.” When I then enter my username and password, it says “Invalid username or password”. I'm certain that I'm entering this information correctly but can get no further. Hence, can someone assist me here? Thank you. (I’m on Windows 10.)
Thanks for your reply, Laurence. Yes, the only Avid product that I'm using and purchased a license for is Sibelius (Ultimate). Still, I would like to know why this isn't working for me.
I just did an experiment. When I go to: https://my.avid.com/account/orientation?returnUrl=%2fUS%2faccount%2faccountinfo I can login just fine into my Avid Master Account. However, when I use this same login information to link my Avid Master Account Account with my Avid Download Center Account, it doesn’t work as I get the error message: “Invalid username or password”. Shouldn't the same login information work for both?
The most likely reason is that you never had "Download Center" account credentials, so your non-existent username and password there cannot be linked to your active Master account. Nor will your current Master account credentials work at the old "Download Center" until/unless the accounts have been linked. But if you never had an old account to link, then there is no point in trying to link them.
