Yes, you might have exhausted the length of the sample in the sample library.
Generally speaking, the lengths of samples in the Sibelius 7 Sounds library are greatest for un-articulated notes. So if there is an articulation on the first of the tied notes, try removing it, to see whether you get a longer playback.
If that does not fix it, please attach a Sibelius .sib score file which demonstrates the problem.

No need, the conditional clause Robin used began with "if," as in "IF that does not fix it (which it did), please attach a Sibelius .sib score." Removing the articulation (an accent), fixed the problem I was experiencing.
At this point, it's clear that there is a problem with the program if an accent overrides ties and other dynamics. I am left unhappy, but there's not much to do about it (aside from creating one version for audio export, and one for printing, OR spend some time figuring out why Garritan Personal Orchestra isn't installing properly since I have not experienced this on other machines/previous Sibelius versions).
Unless, of course, you have another suggestion on how to to resolve the articulation + tie issue, Bob (in which case I'll attach the file when able)?
It wasnt clear to me from your previous post, Lance, that Robin's solution did in fact solve it, hence my response. Thanks.
>Unless, of course, you have another suggestion on how to to resolve the articulation + tie issue, Bob (in which case I'll attach the file when able)?
At this point, again without seeing a score, I have no immediate concrete suggestions-- if you do attach a score, of course, when youre able, perhaps that might change for myself and others after seeing the score.
Thanks Bob
PS Maybe something along the lines of using an accent from Symbols, which IIRC doesnt play back, and increasing the Live Velocity of the note in the Inspector..not sure how good this thought is!

I would be more concerned with why your Garritan GPO isn't working. I have GPO and it works perfectly well with Sib 7.5.1, as it has all through the changes from sib 7.1.0 upwards.

In Sibelius 7 Sounds, the Tuba sample that is switched in by a Sound ID change of "+accent" does not loop. Also for Trombone. I haven't tried others. This is bad, but it is so. Pity, it's a nice sample.
You could go to Playback Dictionary, Articulations, Accent and remove the "+accent" behaviour, setting instead a higher value for "Attack" (see attachment).
Or you could retain the Sound ID change and use a different sound set that doesn't have this problem. Did you keep Sibelius 6 Sounds? And, yes, let's get your GPO working.
Surprisingly, this does not seem to have been reported in the Ideascale forum. I have just done so. So please go there and vote it up! (or find the duplicate report that I missed:-)
I'm having the same issue with a piano quintet. I have tied notes with a crescendo for the four string parts and inexplicably, all four string parts cut out a measure early when playing it back. I've tried several fixes, but nothing seems to work. The piano part has a chord on the final 8th note of a measure with a staccato and that's when the four string parts cut out. Any suggestions?
The sampled sounds for string sounds with accents are shorter in duration than the sampled sounds for strings without accents. So the problem is probably an accent on the first tied note.
