I note that I should set up the metronome using a dedicated Asio driver to get the lowest latency and avoid the semitone lag problem when using flexi-time and keyboard input. When I open a new file in Sib 5.1 the metronome seems to default to the Microsoft wave table synth for its clicks. Is there anyway to permanently set it up for say the Kontakt Player on a given percussion patch so that it automatically sets itself up for that patch on a dedicated Asio driver every time.

I seem not to have had an answer to this one. Maybe I should have said click instead of metronome in my original query. What I am searching for is a global way to set up the click in Sib 5.1 so that when opening a new file the click is automatically set up using either percussion sounds from Kontakt Player or Kontakt 3. At the moment for every new file that I set up the click defaults to Microsoft wavetable synth using a DirectX Asio driver. If i use my Tascam 1884 Asio driver I obviously get lower latency and cut out the semiquaver delay problem. I would like this to be a global setting and happen every time.

Any thoughts much appreciated

You should be able to do this by choosing 'unpitched.*' and setting it
to either Kontakt Player 2 or Kontakt 3 on the Preferred Sounds page of
Playback Devices, then clicking Save and Close to save your configuration.
