Sibelius Worksheets

Don't spend hours making resources from scratch. Sibelius 5 comes with over 1700 worksheets, projects, exercises, songs, instrumental pieces, lyrics, posters, reference material and other resources in the Sibelius Worksheet Creator. As well as exploring the Worksheet Creator, learn how to adapt existing worksheets, make new worksheets, export musical examples to Microsoft Word and even import pictures. Participants will also learn how to make their worksheets available on the school intranet using Scorch.

Sibelius 6, Pro Tools 8, and Implementing Music Technology in the Classroom 2009 Training in the Pacific NW

The Synthesis Midi Workshop (www.midiworkshop.com ) is hosting weeklong training workshops in Sibelius, Pro Tools, and Implementing Music Technology in the Classroom 2009 at the beautiful Mike Klinger Music Technology Retreat Center located 50 miles east of Portland, OR in the Columbia River Gorge. Mike Klinger will be using the very latest versions of these programs and has written some great course texts that you can use as curriculum for your classroom teaching with your sutdents if you are a teacher. Lunch is provided daily on site at the retreat center.

One Day Intensive Training Courses Available Across The Northeast

In partnership with SoundTree, Sibelius is offering one-day hands-on training courses for you to discover and learn Sibelius, Pro Tools Academic and Groovy Music. Ten music labs across the north east of the USA will host these training courses and will be run by top music technology clinicians with years of experience with music educators. Beginning, Intermediate Notation training as well as Pro Tools in the Classroom sponsored by the Boston Symphony Orchestra

Beginning Sibelius:This hands-on course, led by Sibelius clinician Marc Schonbrun will get you up to speed on Sibelius in no time. The course will cover all methods of note entry,entering text and lyrics, printing, saving, and playing back your scores, as well as utilizing the internet to find scores and post your own work.

Intermediate Sibelius:This hands-on course, led by Sibelius clinician Marc Schonbrun will take you through the finer points of Sibelius. You'll learn about formatting, score properties, the "Arrange Feature", as well as more advanced features like Sibelius's plug-ins andadvancedfilter. Prerequisites for this course are a solid understanding of the basics of Sibelius, including the"Create" menu, basic saving, printing and playback.

Pro Tools in the Classroom:This hands-on course, led by Sibelius/Digidesignclinician Marc Schonbrun, will introduce you to Pro Tools, theindustrystandard audio/midi recording suite and how it can help your classroom teaching. You'll learn the basics of audio recording, microphones, thesignalpath, effects, busses, automation and bouncing. You'll also learn how to record your ensembles, and make special practice recordings to send to your students, or post online. Bring your instrument and be part of a real recording in Pro Tools!
