You teach great music lessons. They create great tunes!

Sibelius Groovy Music is a series of three programs which make teaching music to primary children easy and fun. Supporting teachers with plenty of clear and well-written materials, they are designed to satisfy UK standards for music & ICT.

Children compose great tunes in fun landscapesEach of the three Groovy Music programs is designed to be used by a different age group, with more complex musical ideas being explored as children progress through the series. Each program has its own 'theme', with exciting and engaging graphics to appeal to the age group for which it’s designed.

And best of all, the programs are incredibly easy to use, so you won’t waste time on setting them up and learning how they work.

Not a music specialist? Not a problemGroovy lesson materials

Now there’s no need to be afraid of music lessons if you’re not a specialist music teacher. Groovy Music guides you all the way through the curriculum.

You don’t need any musical knowledge to get the most from the programs - all three Groovy Music programs come with plenty of clear, well-written materials. And you certainly don’t need to be a musician to use them.

Two ways to learn

Each Groovy Music program is made up of two modes for learning.
Explore

Explore. Guides children through step-by-step progressive exercises to learn how music works. Topics cover UK primary music standards, and link in with easy-to-follow lesson plans.

CreateCreate. Children take what they’ve learnt in Explore Mode to make great music! They can quickly make impressive-sounding compositions by dragging and arranging rhythms, bass lines, chords and more in fun landscapes.

Teaching music has never been so easy, or so much fun!

Supports standards for primary music

As well as being great fun, Groovy Music is carefully designed to support UK standards for primary school music, including Key Stages 1 & 2, Scottish Primary 1-7 and P1/2–P7 in Northern Ireland. Groovy also develops children’s ICT skills, and it’s content and exercise are so rich that they build literacy and numeracy skills, too.
