Philip Nicol named COO of Sibelius USA
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.—Sibelius USA, Inc. has announced the appointment of Philip Nicol as its Chief Operating Officer. Nicol, who joined the company in March, 2005, was responsible for finance and tax reporting, cash management, credit, and U.S. operations.

Nicol, who reports directly to Silver, has over 20 years experience in corporate finance and operations. He previously worked as chief financial officer and vice president of operations at several privately-held corporations including Belgium-based software developer Bricsnet. Bricsnet produced enterprise class real estate applications for companies such as American Express, Deutsche Bank, and Marriott International. Before joining Bricsnet, Mr. Nicol was Vice President of Operations at Bluetrain, developer of an enterprise class groupware application and Viscomm, where he served as Director of Product Development, managing several development teams building software applications for companies including Chevron and Hilton Hotels. Nicol holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of California.
