Sibelius Supports John Lennon Educational Tour Bus

Award-winning software comes on board the non-profit mobile recording studio

Sibelius USA, Inc. is pleased to announce its support of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, effective with the Bus’ current tour of high schools throughout the U.S. The company joins principal sponsors Maxell Corporation, Apple Computer, NAMM, Brian Moore Guitars iGuitar, Edirol, Roland, Audio-Technica and Elixir Strings. Its Sibelius 3 notation software, G7 Kontakt Edition, Auralia, Instruments and Compass will support the on-board music production tools that encourage our nation’s youth to write songs and play music.

The Lennon Bus has selected the products, technology and initiatives best suited for the state-of-the-art mobile recording and multimedia studios, from companies that share the Bus’ vision.

“Our support of the John Lennon Education Tour Bus further acknowledges the commitment of Sibelius Software, Inc. to the educational market, from pre-K students through university level,” states Bill Reilly, President, Sibelius USA, Inc. “The team on the Bus provides an outstanding service by bringing music and the benefits of music education to many schools across the U.S., many of which may not have the luxury of a full-fledged music program.”

Sibelius 3 and G7 Kontakt Edition are the fastest, smartest and easiest computer programs available for notating and playing back compositions and lead sheets directly from MIDI instruments such as the Brian Moore iGuitar and Roland GI-20 MIDI electronic drum kit, along with other keyboard and wind instruments, via the Apple Macintosh computers that populate the Bus. In addition, Auralia, Instruments and Compass programs from the Sibelius Educational Suite (SES) are used to teach music theory and composition. As part of its commitment to the program, Sibelius will provide support and training to the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus team on an ongoing basis.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is currently on a national High School Battle of the Bands tour, to be followed by dates on the John Legend/Alicia Keys tour, with stops at selected Apple Stores and music retail stores across the country. At each stop, the on-board engineers provide tours and free workshops using the latest and best technology, equipment and instruments. For a complete tour schedule, please visit www.jlsc.com.
