Can you imagine...

...4th grade students composing a string quartet?

Annapurna (above right) follows the score of her first composition while a quintet of professional musicians, including members of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, prepare to perform and record it as part of the Vermont MIDI Project's OPUS 9 concert and CD.

The Vermont MIDI Project is an innovative program that uses Sibelius technology to teach music composition to students in grades 3 -12. Students exchange digital iterations of their scores with professional mentors through a password-protected website using the (free) Sibelius Scorch player.

To see and hear the scores of Annapurna and her fellow student composers, please visit the Vermont Midi website by clicking here: www.vtmidi.org.
