87: Grace-notes - inserting at the end of a bar

It is difficult to insert a grace-note if it is not followed by a note or rest. The problem here is that grace-notes attach to the following note/rest, so if the grace-note is, for example, at the very end of a system, then there's nothing for it to attach to.

The solution is to put the grace-note before the final note/rest in the bar. Then edit the X parameter in the General panel of the Properties window (in earlier versions of Sibelius, use the Offset parameter in the grace note's Properties dialog) to make it a positive number, e.g. 4. This will move the grace-note so that it appears after the note/rest while remaining attached to it. (To move the grace-note thereafter, only use the Properties dialog box, not the mouse or arrow keys, or the grace-note may reattach to a different note.)

This technique can also be used to make other objects attach to particular notes/rests, though it is rarely required other than for grace-notes.
