637: Exported audio plays back at wrong tempo
If you don't specify a tempo in your score, Sibelius will, by default, play back your score at 100 beats per minute. It will also export the audio file at this speed too.
It's possible to slow down or speed up the overall tempo of a piece by using the slider on the Playback window but this has the limitations of not being able to change the tempo automatically during playback, nor can you specify the tempo of an exported audio file.
The solution is to enter a metronome mark or tempo change. This is done by going to Create, Text, Metronome mark or Tempo. You can enter tempos marks such as Allegro and metronome marks to specify beats per minute too.
Also, make sure to check the Tempo slider on the Playback window is back in the center so the tempo reads same as the tempo markings in the score.
For more information, see Working with playback in the Sibelius Reference.
