63: Fonts - creating

The easiest way to get new symbols not included in the supplied Opus and Inkpen fonts into Sibelius is to design your own fonts.

There are numerous high-end packages to do this; Macromedia Fontographer and Fontlab are the two market-leading programs.

There are many shareware alternatives available, including Font Creator from High-Logic. Users have found this to be a very useful program, and it can be registered for much less than either Fontographer or Fontlab. Font Creator is currently only available for Windows.
