559: KontaktPlayer2: File was not found

Getting 'File was not found. Please check if Library is installed correctly' message when loading a sound generally means that Sibelius tried looking for a Kontakt Player 2 instrument that is specified in the sound set and the Kontakt Player 2 couldn't find it.

Reasons for this include:

  • You are not running the latest version of Sibelius 5. To check this go to Help > Check for Updates

  • You have chosen a sound set for a Kontakt Player 2 library in Sibelius 5's Playback Devices menu, that is not installed.
    • Resolve this by either choosing the correct sound set or reinstalling your sound library

  • You have moved the sound library in Windows Explorer or Mac's Finder to a new location (a new hard drive, say).
