535: Information about upgrading Garritan Personal Orchestra

To work out how to upgrade your version of the Garritan Personal Orchestra please follow the instructions and links below.

GPO Sibelius Edition for Sibelius 4 (on DVD)

If you bought GPO Sibelius Edition for Sibelius 4 on DVD and wish to use it in Sibelius 5 you need to go to this website:
www.sibelius.com/products/sibelius_sounds/upgrade.html
and enter your original GPO SE serial number.
This will prompt you to download an updater and also give you a new serial number.

Original version of GPO with crossgrade for Sibelius 4

If you bought the original version of GPO, have since bought the $49 crossgrade to make this work with Sibelius 4 and now wish to use it in Sibelius 5, then you need to log in or register on the Native Instruments website here:
www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=updates
to obtain the new version of GPO for Kontakt Player 2 and also a new serial number.

and entering your GPO serial number.

Original version of GPO without crossgrade

If you bought the original version of GPO with the GPO studio and have not since bought the $49 crossgrade (for Sibelius 4) and wish to use it in Sibelius 5 you need to download the GPO update. To download this, log in or register on the Native Instruments website here:
www.native-instruments.com/index.php?id=updates

If you are not sure of the version of GPO you have please go to:
www.sibelius.com/products/sibelius_sounds/upgrade.html
and enter your GPO serial number at the bottom of the page.
From there it will take you to a page with relevant instructions for your version.

Further Support

NOTE: After upgrading, you will now be using the full version of GPO, and not a Sibelius Edition, you will need to get your support from Native Instruments:

who will support the Kontakt Player 2 and library registration.
Unfortunately Sibelius will only be able to support the use of GPO in Sibelius 5 and not in any other 3rd party application.
