463: Sibelius coloured keyboard

Here you can find installation instructions for the Sibelius Coloured Keyboard. The keyboard requires a computer with at least one USB port, running Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP or Mac OS 9 / X. (It is not designed to work with Windows 95 / NT or Mac OS 8.6, but it may work.) It works with Sibelius 2 or later, and can also of course be used with other programs. The following instructions are for Windows only as the keyboard will automatically work for Mac OS.

Windows 2000 / XP:

Installation:

After connecting the keyboard to your computer Windows may go through the process of installing the drivers automatically and once done should say your new hardware is installed and ready to use.

Download the installer from here and save it to your desktop.

Once there double click on it and it will guide you through the setup. The process takes only a few seconds to install and once it has then restart your computer for the changes to be made.

Start Sibelius now and you will find that the keyboard is fully operational.

Windows 98 / Me:

Installation:

Turn off your PC, disconnect your current keyboard and connect the Sibelius Coloured Keyboard via USB. If the cable on the coloured keyboard isn't long enough to reach, you can attach the USB extension cable provided. Now turn on your computer.

Windows 98 and Me may not have the drivers for the keyboard already on the computer so when you install the keyboard you may have to install the drivers. There will be onscreen instructions on how to do this and you may need your Windows 98 / ME CD for the installation to complete. If your computer just goes through to Windows without any installing process, either it has not installed the drivers (unlikely) or the drivers have been installed and you can now use the Sibelius Coloured Keyboard. If you are faced with a New hardware wizard, please continue through the following instructions.

Download the installer from here and save it to your desktop.

Once there double click on it and it will guide you through the setup. The process takes only a few seconds to install and once it has then restart your computer for the changes to be made.

Start Sibelius now and you will find that the keyboard is fully operational.

Windows 98 / Me / 2000 / XP:

Uninstallation:

Run the downloaded file called Sibelius_Coloured_Keyboard.exe and this will uninstall the Sibelius Coloured Keyboard from your computer. Disconnect it from the USB port and reconnect your normal keyboard. Restart your computer and it will be back to normal.
