45: Recommended - printers

Sibelius will work with any Mac- or Windows-compatible printer. Inkjet and bubblejet printers are recommended if you need to print in colour, but the print quality is not as good as laser printers. Well-known brands of inkjet printers include Epson, Canon, and Hewlett-Packard.

Laser printers featuring 1200dpi (dots per inch) resolution produce printouts of publication quality, although for everyday use printers capable of 600dpi output also produce excellent quality. Well-known laser printer brands include Hewlett-Packard and Lexmark.

Users who need to print on Tabloid/A3 paper have reported that the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 5000 is a particularly good performer. A number of inkjet printers can also print on paper up to Tabloid/A3 size.
