436: Fonts not displaying correctly - can't see the noteheads

IMPORTANT: This article applies only to Sibelius 2 and 3. If you are using Sibelius 4 or 5, please refer to this article instead.

If you need to reinstall your Sibelius fonts because they are not displaying properly and the noteheads or other objects are appearing as other characters then please do the following.

Sibelius 3:

• Windows: Put your Sibelius 3 CD in the drive and from the menu select Browse this cd. Then look in the English > Fonts folder and run the InstallSibeliusFonts.exe file.
• Mac: Put your Sibelius 3 CD in the drive and start the Sibelius installer. When asked about the type of install change the Easy Option to Custom. You can then select System Items Only. Then run the installer.

Sibelius 2

• Windows: See Sibelius 3 Windows instructions.
• Mac: Find the Applications folder and then open the Sibelius 2 > Resources folder (or use Sherlock Command-F to search for Sibelius and then open the Resources folder). Then double-click on the SystemItemsInstaller file to run it.
