430: Problems importing MIDI files

If you export a MIDI file from a sequencer and it won't import into Sibelius, it might be caused by the sequencer failing to follow the MIDI protocol regarding Running Status messages. (This is more prevalent in type-0 midi files.)

In Sibelius this will cause the following error message:

There was a problem opening the MIDI file:MIDI file is corrupt.

If this happens, try importing the file into another program or saving it as a type-1 MIDI file. If this fails to correct the problem, please use the button to the right to contact technical support.
