402: Screen looks green in Sibelius and notes are unreadable.

If you find that the paper in Sibelius is dark and has lines and blobs all over it and the notes on the manuscript paper are completely un-readable then please check your screen color setting and that your display isn't set to 256 colors.

You can check this in the Start > Settings > Control Panel (or Start > Control Panel in Windows XP) then double-click on Display (or Appearance and Themes and then Display). Then in the Display Properties window click on the Settings tab and then at the bottom look for Color (or 'Color Quality') and make sure this isn't on 256 colors. You should set it to 16 Bit (medium) or above for things to display properly in Sibelius.

If you absolutely have to use 256 colors for a particular reason then in Sibelius go to File > Preferences > Textures (or View > Textures in Sibelius 3) and change all paper textures to Use color not texture.
