375: Kontakt Player - Cannot use Total Recorder with Kontakt Player

If you use Total Recorder to record Sibelius playback to an audio file, you will encounter problems if you attempt to run Total Recorder at the same time as playing back using Kontakt Player in Sibelius 3 or 4.

This is because Total Recorder takes ownership of your sound devices, and Kontakt Player needs ownership of the same devices. Depending on your soundcard, you may be able to solve this problem by changing the options in Kontakt Player's Audio Settings dialog, particularly changing the Interface option (generally DirectSound may work if your soundcard has a proper implementation, but Multimedia will almost certainly not work).
