251: Hiding staves which contain music

Sibelius 3 and later contain a feature called Focus on Staves, which allows you to hide any combination of staves in your score with a single click. See Focus on Staves in your documentation for details.

If you haven't yet upgraded to the latest version of Sibelius, click here for details.

In Sibelius 2.x, the following procedure can also be used:

To hide a staff throughout the score: triple-click to select throughout, then choose Edit > Hide or Show > Hide. Then open the Staves panel of the Properties window, and select No lines (hidden) from the drop-down menu to hide the staff.

To hide only part of a staff rather than all of it: select a passage, then hide all the objects in that passage, and finally insert appropriate staff type changes at the start and end.
