236: Trills - altering playback interval

By default, trills play back with an interval of a half-step (semitone). To change this:

  • In Sibelius 5, 4 and 3: select the trill line and change the options in the Playback panel of the Properties window. You can change the speed and interval of the trill, and also choose whether playback starts on the upper or lower note.
  • In Sibelius 2: select the trill line and change the options in the Lines panel of the Properties window. You can change the speed and interval of the trill, and also choose whether playback starts on the upper or lower note.
  • In Sibelius 1.4: select the trill line, Control-click (Mac) or right-click (Windows) and choose Properties. In the Properties dialog, you can then change the interval and speed (note that you cannot choose whether the trill starts on the upper or lower note in Sibelius 1.4).
