234: Staves - how to add

To add a staff or staves for a new instrument, such as a flute or piano, to your score, choose Create > Instruments (Layout > Instruments and Staves in Sibelius 3 and 4) at any time - see Instruments in your User Guide for more details.

In Sibelius 3 and above, you can use this dialog to add extra staves to an instrument. In Sibelius 1 or 2 this is achieved by selecting a bar in the system where you want the extra staff and choosing Create > Extra Staff > Above or Below. You can also create ossias from this menu. For more information, see Staves in your User Guide.
