229: Bars - how to delete

Sibelius 5 and later:

To delete a bar, simply select it, then choose Edit > Delete Bars (shortcut Ctrl+Delete on Windows or Command+Delete on Mac).

This deletes everything in the bar and removes the bar itself. You can delete several bars at once by selecting them as a system passage first

Sibelius 4, Sibelius Student and earlier

To delete a bar, Command-click or Ctrl+click on a blank part of the staff in that bar, so that the bar is surrounded by a double blue box, and then hit Delete.
