228: Metronome mark - how to create

  • Choose Create > Text > Metronome mark
  • A small flashing caret (or insertion point) appears above the note – Sibelius knows that this kind of text should go above the staff, so it automatically puts it there
  • Now Control-click (Mac) or right-click (Windows) – a menu of useful words appears.
  • Choose the quarter note (crotchet) from the menu and click it. The menu disappears, and the quarter note appears in your score.
  • Hit space, then type e.g. = 80 to complete the metronome mark
  • Finally, hit Esc to stop creating text.
