Outside Account Executive – Education
Outside Sales, US Southern Region
Position Summary: The Account Executive – Education position requires a sales professional with experience selling to Higher Education & K-12. Ability to effectively communicate with everyone from the Music Teacher to the Fine Arts Coordinators, as well at the District/Senior/Executive level is essential. Candidate must have excellent verbal as well as written communication skills and the ability to articulate Sibelius Education Products strategy as well as the Sibelius Value proposition.
The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable record of success in Education or Technology sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals. Will have a solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and must understand complex sales cycles, build consensus throughout multiple levels of organizations, and be adept at developing relationships at executive levels. The ability to properly qualify prospects and working with an Sibelius outside territory sales manager is essential.
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years professional sales experience, as well as the ability to read & write music notation, and understands and can articulate pedagogic needs in education and how technology can be an instrument of change.
Key to success in this role will be your ability to quickly and properly qualify prospects & leads, correctly identify the decision maker(s), understand the needs of the account, determine the size of the opportunity, decide on the most appropriate next step, and quickly close the deal.
You should be passionate about your work, always thinking about the next sale, have a strong work ethic, and always be prepared. You should earn the customer's trust (and business!) and stay engaged, even after the deal has been closed.
You will represent the company and our products over the phone, through online sales presentations, and occasionally at trade shows and other related events. This position is responsible for managing relationships related to all aspects of the sales cycle for Sibelius educational targets. This is a numbers-driven inside sales position reporting to the Director of Sales.

The ability to prospect and manage territory, as well as develop new business in competitive situations, is essential.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years professional sales experience, as well as the ability to read & write music notation, understands and can articulate pedagogic needs in education and how technology can be an instrument of change.
Key to success in this role will be your ability to identify the decision maker(s), understand the account, determine the size of the deal, put together a comprehensive solution, and quickly close the deal.

Sales Administrator
Location: Inside Sales, Walnut Creek CA
Position Summary and Duties: The Sales Administrator will report to the Director of Sales and working closely with the US Sales Team will utilize organizational skills, enthusiasm, and efficiency, to manage multiple projects demanding deliverables with a quick turn around.
The ideal candidate is a team player who has an interest in music, is knowledgeable about the sales process, is an energetic self starter, and is able to work with well with multiple internal & external customers in a fast paced sales environment.
This includes:
- Providing expert assistance to the US sales team (inside/outside) in a variety of situations
- Providing administrative assistance at the corporate level as needed
- Directing all current sales administrative activities
- Supporting the CRM (Salesforce) requests and functioning as the CRM Administrator
- General Sales/Numbers reporting
- Managing call / lead routing / trade show lead assignments
- Overseeing price list maintenance (Channel & Direct)
- Coordinating contact lists for email blasts from our CRM and customer database
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Telesales backup for overflow from reps
- Pipeline reporting
- Maintenance of shared sales documents and resources
- Liaising with Marketing as needed

Sibelius Software Australia is looking to fill a key role of National Education Sales Manager. This position will form a core part of our growth plans and continued success.

As National Education Sales Manager, your responsibility will be to develop and drive sales through retail, specialist dealer and direct on-line channels across Australia including; hi-tech music and audio, traditional, instrument and print music stores and the internet. Equally important, you will engage education sector decision makers and influencers to create and service sales opportunities. You will contribute to the sales budgeting process and take lead responsibility for meeting targets.
Ideally you have completed an undergraduate degree in music or music education and have had bona fide success in a sales role. Experience and success with customer clients in the retail or wholesale sectors of the music instruments industry (MI) and/or education institutions and government education departments will also be highly regarded. A passion for all things digital including music, audio and video - and its applications in education, is absolutely essential.
