  • Teaching Music Through Technology: July 1-3, 1.5 quarter units, fifteen hours. 9 am – 12 pm and 1 – 3 pm
  • Computer Notation: July 7 – 10, 2 quarter units, twenty hours, 9 am – 12 pm and 1 – 3 pm

Staff Development Sessions for music teachers

Brook Mays, Sibelius, and the Division of Educational Technology, Houston Independent School District are offering summer staff development sessions for music teachers:

Cost: $600, includes one full copy of Sibelius Software (worth $299) $300 if you already own a copy of Sibelius software

Class sponsored by Portland State University/DCE and The Synthesis Midi Workshop

Course Title: Sibelius

Dates: June 24-27 (Tues-Fri) from 9am-3pm daily (lunch is provided)

Location: The Mike Klinger Music Technology Retreat/Carson, WA (50 miles east of Portland, OR)

Cost: $375 ( no college credit) or $459 ( 2 graduate/quarter credits). Clock hours are available at $40 for 20 clock hours.
