SCORE file converter for Sibelius v1.4

This plug-in enables the conversion of files created in SCORE to Sibelius format.

The purpose of the file converter is to save you time, not to convert every score so that it is identical to the original. As with any file converter, this is unrealistic, since SCORE and Sibelius work in different ways and have different features.

Because SCORE is a third-party product, we can only offer limited technical support on the use of this file converter. However, we are interested in your feedback, and in particular, if you have any scores which convert badly, please contact technical support.

IMPORTANT: this file converter will only work with Sibelius v1.4. If you are running an earlier version, you must update your copy of Sibelius before using this file converter.

Instructions for use

Please download and read the documentation for the SCORE file converter before installing and using it. The documentation is provided in PDF format (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, free download) and gives complete instructions on the use of the converter, as well as its limitations.

Downloading the SCORE file converter

First, quit Sibelius if it is already running.

Click below to download the correct version of the file converter for your computer:

WINDOWS: ScoreConverter.zip (200K)
MAC: ScoreConverter.hqx (400K)

If asked where you would like to save the file, choose to save it to your Desktop (on Mac, it will be saved to your desktop automatically).

Installing the SCORE file converter for Windows

Once the file has downloaded, you will need Infozip (freeware) or Winzip (shareware) to extract the contents of the archive to the Plugins folder within your Sibelius folder (by default, C:\Program Files\Sibelius Software\Sibelius\Plugins).

For further instructions, see the supplied documentation.

Installing the SCORE file converter for Mac

Once the file has downloaded, you will need Stuffit Expander (free download) to extract the contents of the archive. When you double-click the archive, a single file called SCORE Converter will be created on your desktop. This needs to be copied to the Plugins folder within your Sibelius program folder.

For further instructions, see the supplied documentation.
