How do I get part names to appear to left of first system in a score?

In the attached .sib file, they're not there. I'm sure it's a very simple thing to do but couldn't quite tease it out of the Reference.

Also, the bass part doesn't show up when I press the "+" button (upper rh corner) -- other parts show up fine.

There was no attachment. In this forum, attachments must be (a) less than 1 MByte in size, and (b) of filetypes .png or .sib only.

The presence or otherwise of instrument names is controlled by ribbon tab "Appearance" -> Instrument and Staff Names.

Please see my earlier answer: you need to adjust the settings in ribbon tab "Appearance" -> "Instruments and Staff Names".

I do not see any missing entries in the parts '+' menu.
