Hello all, I am trying to download the solfeggi plugin (the first one I have tried to do), on mac, and following instructions from Sibelius, but it's not working. The zip folder I downloaded had a pdf and a .plg file. When I try to open the .plg, I get the choose an app error. I have created a plugin folder and copied it there, but still can't find it in Sibelius, or even get anything to look like it's installing. What am I missing?

Which version of Sib are you using and what is your OS? Versions of Sib 7.x and up can do this for you using File-->Plug-ins-->Install Plug-ins. Sib 6 and earlier need you to download and copy the file into the appropriate folder in C:\Users\[your user name]\Program Files(x86)\AppData\Roaming\Sibelius Software\Sibelius 6\Plugins.

Thanks for your reply! This is one thing that is confusing me, because in all the instructions I'm finding, they talk about version 6, 7, etc, but my version is just called Sibelius Ultimate"version 2021.9." My OS is High Sierra 10.13.8.

For any version of Sibelius with a version number higher than 7 (including your 2021.9), then plug-in installation is performed in ribbon tab File -> Plug-ins -> Install Plugins.

Do not download plug-ins from the Avid web site!

Are you sure your Sibelius is 'Ultimate'? Not just 'Sibelius'?

I changed my subscription to Sibelius Ultimate, Education Pricing, but when I go there to download it, it just gives me Sibelius

There is only one download for all tiers of Sibelius.

The tier of Sibelius that runs when the Sibelius application is launched is determined by the licence that is activated.

It is possible that you need to use "Avid Link" to de-activate the licence for your old Sibelius tier, and then to activate the licence for "Sibelius Ultimate".
