Hi, - I am new to this forum and an absolute beginner with Sibelius.
My problem starts, even before I was able the work with the program.
I have been on the Internet and youtube to find a solution: No sound.
I attach sone screenshots. Perhaps someone sees what else I could try to make it work.
Please excuse my poor knowledge of your language.
Is there perhaps a german section in this forum or do you know of a german forum?
Thanks for your assistance
Felix
PS: I just found out that I only can attach 1 jpeg?
The screen-shots show that the selected audio output was "S/PDIF", which is a digital output socket - presumably not the one to which your loudspeakers are connected.
In "Audio Engine Optionen", try setting "Interface" to "Primxrer Soundtreiber (DS)".

Robin, very kind that you waste your time for me,.... but no: There is still no sound.
Wenn the program starts, there is a special "opening sound". So I can be sure, that my speakers are working. But when the sound engine of Sibelius should work,- there is nothing.
You never mentioned "Presonus" before, and there is no mention of "Presonus" in the available "Interface" list in "Audio Engine Options" shown in your first screen-shot.
Was the "Presonus" device plugged in and operational BEFORE Sibelius was launched?
Sibelius will not use devices which become operational after it has been launched.

Oh no, - sorry for that. My mistake. I got mixed up by Presonus and Sibelius. I use DAW Presonus Studio One, but this program runs on a different computer, so it can`t be the reason for my sound problem with Sibelius.
Again: Sorry for the confusion.
Please do this:
- click Start -> Avid -> "Sibelius User Data";
- from the folder that opens, open sub-folder "PlogueEngine";
- zip up every file inside the "PlogueEngine" folder, and upload them to somewhere in the web/cloud;
- let us know the URL for getting all those files.

Sorry, as I am only musician and no computer nerd, I might search at the wrong place. I add 2 pics to show the way I was going to find PlogueEngine. In there is only one file.... the one that I have placed on OneDrive. Where else could the missing files be?
Using Windows File Explorer:
- please navigate to the location on disk:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\Sibelius Sounds\
- inside that folder, there should be a sub-folder also called "Sibelius Sounds";
- right-click on the icon of that sub-folder, and select "Properties";
- take a screen-shot of the "Properties" panel, and attach it here.

The Sibelius Sounds sample library has not been installed.
Instead, an incorrect installation of a "Sibelius Sounds updater" has been made. But the "updater" is useless without a previous installation of the full sample library.
Please download and install the "Sibelius Ultimate Sounds" sample library, from your My Avid account at:
http://my.avid.com/products
It is a very large download and might take many hours.
There is no need to install the "Sibelius Sounds updater".

Dear Robin, it is hard to express how thanksful I am that there are people like you who spend theier time to help others.
Without you I would have had no other chance than to deinstall Sibelius and ask for my money back. I myself would never have found the reason why I got no sound from Sibelius.
Thanks again sooooo much.
Kindest regards from Germany
