I need to use the "good" sounds for the first time. When I installed Ultimate, I suspect that I deliberately skipped the installation of the Sounds in order to save disk space. But I now need to install them to produce high-quality MP3s from Sibelius by customer request.

--As far as I know, there is about 36GB of sound samples that is "included with" Ultimate. However I see no sign, in the playback menus, that they are installed. Nor do I find multi-gigabyte sound folders on my Windows 10 PC.

--When I sign into Avid Link and look at the Downloads, there is one for Sibelius Sounds (Mac), dated November 2019. Is that what I need? If so, where is the Windows version? (I don't have physical DVDs.)

Aside from the issue of Sibelius sounds, which you are absolutely entitled to, you may wish to consider using NotePerformer, which a lot of us here recommend. It may well please your client. It is amazing value for money. There is a thirty-day free trial.

Sign into your "My Avid" account at:
http://my.avid.com/products

and expand the download list for your product. You can download the Sibelius Sounds installer from there.

For Windows, the download is a .zip archive file, which must be un-zipped first, before you try launching the sounds installer. Although Windows permits you to view inside a .zip file as if it were a folder, do not attempt to launch the installer from within that view: physically unzip the downloaded file into a real folder first.

Thank you! That worked!

I didn't realize that the AvidLink app installed with Ultimate does not in fact give access to all the relevant downloads -- and that you need to go to "My Avid" instead.
