[Actually i think I got it to work. I turned on 'metronome' in transport window, and exported to audio, which gives me the "MP3 with click track" that asked for. I knew Sib could do it!

For a more customised click, add a woodblock or similar stave to the score, fill bar 1 with a suitable pattern and press R until the score is full. If you want a precount, Add Pickup Bar can be used to place a click-only bar at the front.

The plugin Add Simple Click Track will give you a simple click track without you needing to do much thinking; Export Audio with Count-in will create a score with some count-in bars that use a click track sound.
